  2. It is going to be someone out of the Angels organization.... Probably Joe Saunders

  3. He is with Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay

  4. Definitely he's on his way to win 20 games if he keep pitching the way he is

  5. no cuz you have mike mussina cliff lee and roy halladay

  6. Dice K is a contender, but right now there are other pitchers in the AL pitching better to include Cliff Lee and Roy Halliday.  Right now I would have to give it to Cliff Lee.  Though the Red Sox are my team.

  7. He'll get votes because he's in Boston...but that'll also hurt him because he's arguably not even the best guy on his staff...

With CC gone, Cliff Lee the THE man on his staff and is pitcing like it.  I think he has the inside shot...

  8. Contender as in top 10 yes.  Real contender as threatening Halladay and Lee?  No.

  9. Sure he could be a contender, 103 K's 14 wins, opp BAA .209 good starter...=)

  10. yeah

  11. I think so

  12. He will be a contender, but i really dont think he should win it.

Cliff Lee, 17-2, three more wins than Dice-K's 14-2 and Cliff is playing on a much poorer team too.  Lee's ERA is lower and he Dice-K have missed some action this year.

I saw someone point out how Dice K has a .209 opponent's batting avergage, which is good, but he have also surrendered a ridiculous amount of walks(which mite actually be the one thing that will cost him the Cy Young award).  His 72 walks is the 2nd most in the majors(and keep in mind again, he have missed some starts).

Cliff Lee should hands down, defiently win this award.

  13. I think he can. he is 14-2 with a 2.74 ERA. that is great considering how high the walks are this year.  The only thing is that Cliff Lee is headed for a 20 + win season and Halladay has already had 8 complete games.t i think that Lee and Halladay are the big competition for dice-k

  14. He's definitely a contender, but not a potential winner.

  15. He could be but he won't.  He's got a good record and he's got a good ERA but he doesn't throw many innings.  He's never gotten out the 7th inning this year and routinely throws just over 5 innings.  He only averages 5 2/3 innings per start.  The Cy Young is for the best pitcher in the league and you'd have a hard time convincing the voters that the best pitcher in the league is a starter that can't make it out of the sixth inning most days.  Also, he walks way too many batters.  Over 70 walks in 121 innings.  Just as a comparison, Halladay has walked 32 batters in 191 innings.
