  1. not necessarily,  since j m marquez has done more, he might get promoted to number 1 and d diaz will go to maybe number 4 or 5.

  2. I don't believe so.  I mean he was knocked out by Kendall Holt.  There were a lot of people who was ready to completely write him off.  Other than Erik Morales, which I think we can agree Morales had been mentally out of boxing for a number of months, he really hasn't beaten anyone of high caliber.  I personally think he needs to battle his way through the same wars that Pacquiao has.  He needs the notable fights of Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, and Rocky Juarez type.  So I don't believe he will ever take the number one spot with the fights he has.  He will most definitely have to up his game.

  3. no because hes not well known unlike other people.

    mayweather is first.

  4. pac man will ko diaz later in the fight and if the unthinkable should happen and he loses then for me cotto would be an automatic no 1.

  5. I dont think so. And besides Pacquiao will knock out diaz for sure. Pacquiao still remains number one.

  6. No because Pac-man is smaller than Diaz.

  7. This is the current top 20 now that Mayweather has retired. David Diaz is not even in the top fifty ranked pound for pound fighters in the world so I highly doubt he will be able to claim first spot even if he does beat The Pac-Man (WHICH IS VERY UNLIKELY)

    1. Manny Pacquiao

    2. Joe Calzaghe

    3. Miguel Cotto

    4. Juan Manuel Marquez

    5. Israel Vazquez

    6. Kelly Pavlik

    7. Rafael Marquez

    8. Bernard Hopkins

    9. Ronald "Winky" Wright

    10. Shane Mosley

    11. Ivan Calderon

    12. Ricky Hatton

    13. Oscar De La Hoya

    14. Chris John

    15. Antonio Margarito

    16. Christian Mijares

    17. Wladimir Klitschko

    18. Marco Antonio Barrera

    19. Paul Williams

    20. Mikkel Kessler

  8. no chance come on pac man!!

  9. I don't think so. There are others on the list that are regarded more than Diaz: J.M. Marquez, Miguel Cotto, Joe Calzaghe, Israel Vazquez, Kelly Pavlik.

Though Diaz is a champion, I don't think he's considered among the elite of the sport. At the moment, Diaz isn't even among the Top 20 Pound-for-Pound. Therefore, in my opinion, if Diaz beats Pacquiao, I could see him either barely cracking the Top 10 at no. 10, or staying just outside of it at maybe no. 11 or 12.
