  1. Yes it could, but it is still predicted to go though LA

  2. yes it could. but it all depends what part of texas you live in

  3. From the looks of it I think Texas will definitely get a lot of it. It may not hit directly but it will still get lots of storming. Texas is just lucky that they are on the west side of the hurricane. Mississippi (me) is on the east side .. AKA the worst side of the hurricane.

  4. Could it?  It is possible, but right now there are no indications that the atmospheric wind patterns would make that much of an alteration.  The atmosphere around Gustav is being sampled and meteorological models are all in good agreement that the overall wind pattern will not see a big change.  The area of potential landfall is still fairly wide, and the far upper coast of Texas is within that envelope, but on the far western edge.

You can see the latest track projection here: http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics...

  5. Yep, its a good possibility. Right now its projeted toward Louisiana and the most eastern coast of Texas. If it the winds from the north shift it could push Gustav more toward the Texas coast. But I think weather officials are pretty sure it's going to hit Louisiana.

  6. Yes, Of course it can.  It most probably won't , but it is wise to pay attention.
