Could Hurricane Hanna be worse than Hurricane Gustav?

Tropical Storm Hanna just became Hurricane Hanna and it is churning in the Atlantic Ocean now. Could it become stronger than Gustav, meaning, is it possible? Not to mention, their is another Tropical Depression in the Atlantic.

It's unlikely Hanna will become a huge storm.  The waters it is traveling over aren't as warm as the Gulf waters.  It's warm water that fuels a hurricane.

Yes, it is very possible.  Hurricane Hanna, according to what I just heard on Fox News, is that it is likely to be a level 3 or above.  It is supposed to touch down in the Carolinas on Friday morning and move up through DC (I am in VA so am excited to get a hurricane!).  They also stated that this huricane could be as bad as the ones back in the 40s/50s back when the Atlantic was warming.  This could be a big one.

Rapid intensification of Hanna is not likely, but it wasn't likely with Gustav either. That's what makes hurricane forecasting tough. However, Hanna is only likely to become a category 1 hurricane before landfall, some models taking it to a cat 2.

Possibilities should always be considered...We can't tell but I think the Hurricane Hanna can be as strong as Gustav... or can be worst...
