Could I, a twelve year old girl, write a good, popular book?

Okay, well I LOVE to write. It is my favorite thing to do! (OTHER THAN DANCE)

with school, you'll be increasing your vocabulary.  that will give you more words to use to write.  maybe even write a book.  maybe now you could write short stories.

That sounds mean, but really, it's a good thing.  Because while it's unlikely you will write a GOOD book at 12, if you start writing now and keep practicing and learn how to improve your writing, than yes, eventually you can write a good, or even great book.

It takes time to learn how to write good fiction.  But you're on the right track.  Just keep at it, and never, ever convince yourself that you don't have room for improvement.  Get as  much feedback as you can from other writers or teachers (NOT your friends or parents).

And read as much as possible.

YES!!! There are a number of younger kids that have written successful books.

If that is what you love to do, then go for it! Just make sure that you have the support of your parental unit,  because writing can be time consuming, make sure that your school work doesn't suffer.

If you set your mind to it and work hard you can. It may get a little tiresome and frustrating in places, but if you really want it you can do it! Work hard and have fun! You can't publish a book you don't love. -_^

Practice, Practice when I was twelve I wanted to publish a book. I'm glad I never got the chance because I've improved so much in 4 years. Keep working and good luck!

Why not?  If you have a good story to tell and you speak (write) to your audience you most certainly could. Good luck. You might want to start a blog and have your friends read your writings.

Just judging you on the structure of your question I would dare to say you certainly could!

Why not combine your interests and your limited experience [after all 12 is still young when you take away the years you couldn't even write ;) ]

Your story could be about a dance studio, or a dance event. If your friends like the story.. go for it.

if you really want to, of course you can. theres no one stopping you.  age doesn't matter. but considering your age, i would suggest starting off with short stories, rather than a whole book or novel, that way you can see your weak points and fix them before you take the time to write a long story. i hope that makes sense, sorry if it doesn't.
