  1. You have a certain connection to light and the environment that is more than many people with P&S cameras have.

That said, in order to become a pro, you will have to learn how to use an adjustable camera ... if you take classes in photography over the next two years, you may have the technical skills to be a photographer ... then you need some professional experience .. a few more years working with a pro as an assistant to learn the business of photography.

I say this to give you a taste of reality ... on the other hand, you really do have a good eye ... pay your dues and you should become successful.

  2. These are just pictures of the sky and a pier, anyone could have taken them with a disposable camera.

I wasn't implying that you had a bad camera, I was saying that these are ordinary photographs.

Oh look, I took a pretty picture too.

Find a better subject, everyone has seen a decent picture of the sun in the clouds, everyone has seen a pier disappear into the mist.

I apologize for being so harsh.

  3. You are on your way-

looks like you put a lot of thought into the photos

you have gotten great results here

By the way- its not the camera- its the 12 inches behind it (Ansel Adams)

The camera a tool- its the photographer that makes the photo.

And you doing fine using what you have!
