Could I Get In Trouble?

Question

If I go onto google and find some black and white pictures and then colour them using mspaint and want to put it up for others to see online would that be illegal? If the persons signature is there, I would leave it there and I would say that I had not drawn any of the pictures, just coloured them would I get in trouble? I'm not sure how to contact the people as these pictures are just all over the internet.

Only if you stand to profit from your enhancements.  At least contact the person and ask.

I'd say if they were copy righted then thats illegal.. you can contact the webmaster of the websites that you took the black and white pics from and get permission..

are you using them for making money? or just on a personal website? I'd still get permission cause it is illegal
