I know it would pretty much depend on lifestyle.

This is the plan,

Eating cheap, staying in cheap hostels, no drinks, not much fun...yes, sounds a bit sad..

Ohh, and maybe not in London but somewhere cheaper in England or Scotland.

  1. What would be the point ?

    No matter what the goal,

whether it's touring, studying, or just

"experiencing the UK for a while",

    you're probably better off spreading

the money over a shorter period of

time and getting more enjoyment out of it.

On 1000 /month, that comes to about 30/day,

and after lodging and food you will have hardly

    anything left.

Reduce the time to two months, and you're

up to 83/day, which would still be tight, but

give you a lot more breathing room.

  2. Probably not. Have you seen the price of petrol any time recently mate? £1.10 a litre.

That said, plenty of people live on less than £1,000 a month, so it shouldn't be impossible, if you make the right choices.

Shop at cheap places like Tesco and ASDA.

  3. Hey, and howareyou?

Should be a piece of easy going living.

Pensioners are supposed to live a comfortable life on about £ 120 per week.

  4. yes

  5. I don't see why not.

As a student, I'm expected to live on £4600 a year, including rent, bills, food and drinking.

    I manage (just about)

Hostels are expensive, though. That'll be your main monetary drain

  6. Mate yeah just buy a camper van park in a field and take up bird watching for 5 months........ seriously yes you could but hey if anything goes wrong you wont have much to get you out of trouble..........
