Could I be Pregnant? Please read!!!?

Well, let me begin by saying that I get paranoid about things like this. I'm 21 years old. The event below took place about two weeks ago.

My boyfriend and I have not had s*x (i.e., vaginal intercourse). I am still a virgin because I am trying to wait until marriage. One night, things were getting pretty hot and heavy with the making-out and things like that, and he put his p***s on the outside of my vaginal area. It never actually entered. Something may have dripped out, but nothing ever went inside of me. He played with me a little after that, but because I'm a virgin and really tight, his finger doesn't get far at all without me stopping him. Of course, I realized what could've happened, so I stopped before it went any farther than that. Of course, we have done anything like that since...

So, I was really happy when my cycle came because I was certain that I couldn't be pregnant. But after reading all of this information on yahoo, I've gotten back worried again. I just finished my menstrual cycle yesterday (Monday, 8.18.08). It usually lasts about 6 days, this cycle lasted 5 days. I usually cramp really badly on the last day of my cycle, but I didn't really do that. There was nothing unusual about this cycle except that it was shorter, and I cramped a lot the first 4 days, and not really on the last day.

So, I know (now) that you can be pregnant and still get your period. I don't know if I need to take a pregnancy test or not. I'm thinking about getting on birth control, so something like this won't happen again, even though I'm honestly trying to practice abstinence.

So, after reading this, what do you think? Please don't be too judgmental, I know I shouldn't have been playing around or anything, like that, but I just want some opinions about what I should do at this point.

I was thinking about going to get a E.P.T. pregnancy test. Yes, I'm really paranoid and worried right now!

Any advice and opinions are greatly welcomed!

  1. You're not pregnant and had your period. How you expect the ovum to implant if you have a period that sheds the endometrium?

The implantation bleeding is a little spotting that occures from 1-5 days and is a blood that you notice when you wipe (about the size of a cent) and is not a full bleeding. If you bleed, staining the whole pantyliner and underwear then there's nothing to be worried about. Period bleeding as well as symptoms vary from month to month.

  2. Just because you did not cramp the last day of your period does NOT mean you are pregnant.

    You are PARANOID!!!

    Calm DOWN

You had your period.. yeah it was a day shorter but so what you should be happy!

If you are seriously still paranoid take a test but jeez...

  3. Hi I used to be extremely paranoid as well and the more you think it the more you get freaked. the chances you are pregnant are almost zero becuase you got your period, and he did not go in you. Stop being paranoid!! p.s. you are just going top waste like 20 bucks on that test!!!

  4. I don't think you're pregnant. Your period came like normal, and sometimes periods are a bit irregular. Even when it's normal and consistent, sometimes it can be short or long. You also have to remember that you were probably already finished ovulating when this happened. In general, you ovulate 14 days before a period occurs. The egg is released and only survives 24 hours. If it's not fertlized within that time frame, it's discarded and your body starts preparing for the period to come.

He never entered you, so it's unlikely you are pregnant, especially after having a fairly normal period. Women generally have  very light bleeding (implantation)...Anyway, don't worry yourself! I don't think you are.

  5. your so silly i think your fine honestly but for your self just take a test

  6. Your period occurs when the lining of your uterus sheds away when a zygote fails to form and latch unto the unterine wall. There have been cases of women who get spotting of small amounts of blood when they are, in fact, pregnant. These cases are very rare and the cycle that you described sounds very normal indeed. I do not think that you are pregnant. I would go and take a pregnancy test just to put yourself at ease but do not worry yourself. Just go on some good and safe birth control so it won't happen again.

  7. hey girl, dont be nervous. The good thing is you got your period! And sometimes the mind does play tricks on the body when you think about something such as that constantly like the cramping and the length of your period then of course its gonna change!! So dont worry anymore

  8. Doesn't sound like you have anything to worry about.  Changes in your cycle and symptoms are normal, and probably due to fluctuating hormones.

  9. I applaud you wanting to wait.  I waited until marriage, too, and I was almost 34.  I understand completely about hormones, and its hard not to do some things.  I actually think it's better if you ask your guy to wear a condom to protect you from "accidents".

It may be true that you bleed some during pregnancy, but I don't think you could bleed for 5 days and still be pregnant, and anyway, there's a lot of IFs to your story.   If he dripped, it would have to have sperm in it, and then push that into you.  It's not likely at all.  However if you need the peace of mind, take the test.  You can get them for less than $20.
