Question:

Could I be a candidate for breast reduction?

I am not huge, but I feel huge. I currently wear a 38C, I can also fit into 36D bras depending on the brand. I am 5'2" and wear a size 8 (or Medium). They are very full and heavy, not very perky. I experience stiff shoulder/neck pains, and headaches. I have always felt uncomfortable with my size. My doctor told me that I was too "small" to be a candidate. Is he right or should I go for a second opinion, or just go straight to a surgeon and pay for it myself? Ideally I would like to be a cup smaller, a medium-large B rather than a large C.

  1. If you have back pain then you are a good candidate for breast reduction, especially since it can be covered by insurance.

    How old are you?

You should seek a second opinion, or better yet, talk to a PS (you should see at least three) and see what they say about it.

A good supportive bra may also help, however that is not always the case.  I've tried all types of bras and know I'm in my correct size, and I still had back pain.  A reduction finally got rid of my back pain.

First try a good bra, if not, then look into a reduction.

  2. i don't think that you are really because a c is not that big

you could ave one if you are really insecure about it but other then that i would say leave it and by the way I'm no stranger to big b***s

this might make you feel better

i am 14 years old and i am a 34E and i ave still got years left to grow im thinking about having a reduction wen i get older.

let me no how it goes

  3. I would say your doctor is right. If you're having back pains it's unlikely it's because of the size of your b*****s, especially because you have a larger back size. It's very unlikely that your b*****s have given you poor posture, so your back pain is obviously down to having poor posture and has nothing to do with your b*****s.

Seriously, why are people getting thumbs down because they're not going "OMG you need a breast reduction". I'm an E/F, to me a C is nothing. I just don't understand how anyone could feel that was too big.

  4. C is average. It isn't even slightly big. If you're having neck pains and shoulder pains it is either your bra causing you trouble, or something else.

  5. hmm.. maybe you should try another alternative.

since all breast tissues are fat, maybe if you do exercise and lose a few pounds, your b*****s will become smaller too. (just an idea, not saying that you're fat). Naturally, if u lose weight, ur b*****s will become smaller too.

Breast reduction carries lots of risks. I would try exercising first if i were you~

    good luck!

  6. You need a good supportive bra, that's all. At least 80% of women are wearing the wrong size. I suggest you get properly measured and fitted, because if your b*****s are sagging in a bra, then it is not your size.

By the way a 38C and 36D are the same cup size, the 38C just has a larger band.
