I am a 15 year old boy and was wondering If I am done growing. I am about 5'6 and have not grown in about a year. My dad is about 5'11 and my mom is 5'4. I have a grandpa who is 6'2 and an uncle who is 6'2. The only real short relative that I have is my grandpa who is like 5'7. Based on this information is it likely that I will still grow to a average height of like 5'9 or something?

  1. men don't stop growing till their late 20's. your boundto have a growth spurt

  2. Derek, did you know that men grow till age 25?  It's true!  Females stop at age 21. Your genetics are great!  You are definitely not done growing!  Here are a couple tips to help you along the way:

Drink 3 glasses of any kind of milk daily,

Eat lots of protein and veggies. (V-8 Fusion is good if you don't like veggies.) They can be raw, steamed, frozen, or canned.

Get outside and play basketball, or run or even take brisk walks without stopping. Swimming, stationary bike, or treadmill. Something!!

I definitely see a couple growth spurts in your future!  Have patience, my dear! :)

  3. lol ur onl 15 i think thats way to early for a guy to stop growing my bros like 14 and he just keeps getting taller and taller lol its not stopping..im gona be soo short compared to him :P

  4. Well I'm in my early 30s and can tell you first hand I stopped growing midway college (pretty runty in highschool though) and so did some friends of mine (male/ female). Growth rates vary from person to person (diet, environment, and genetics a big culprit) and yes, smoking absolutely curtails body growth.
