I was on birth control pills from july 13th-july27(i had to quit taking them because of side effects, and the dr said my cycles would go back to normal since I wasnt on them for long enough) Two days after stopping them i got my period that lasted 5 days. My next period was due Aug 25. I am 3 days late. I have been much more hungry than normal and wanting to eat everything. Plus I get nauseated and queasy at times. It's not constantly and sometimes it doesnt last a long time. I've had a lot of anxiety and I have been getting dizzy and lightheaded. I also get really bad hot flashes. It starts with my face getting very hot and moves over my body. I've been getting a lot more moody and cranky than before. Could I be pregnant? It seems like a silly question i'm sure, but I have chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. So i suffer from a lot of these symptoms all the time. I haven't had any spotting or cramping, just some pain that comes and goes in the bottom of my abdomen on both sides. I took a preg test at home and it had a very very faint line. You almost couldnt see it, so I'm not sure if it means positive or not. I'm getting a preg blood test from the dr tomorrow, but its so hard to wait. Any advice or input is appreciated.Thank you.

  1. If you took a test and it came up positive that means you most likely are. The test comes up positive if a certain hormone is pregnant. Go to your doctors!!!!!

Being on birth control pills for one week will not do anything. It takes about a month for them to effectively work.

  2. Yes you could be pregnant and should take a test or get to the doctor because birth control pills only become effect 7 days after you start them
