Could I be pregnant or is it my body adjusting to not being on the pill anymore?

I just need different people's advice...(sorry its a long story)

I finished Microgynon 30 on the 9th August, had unprotected s*x and then on the 13th I had my withdrawal bleed which finished on the 18th. On the 16th I had really bad indigestion ALL DAY..... I then had unprotected s*x again on the 19th, on the 20th I had cramps and there was blood (I thought I was going to have a period), it was hardly anything, I could of just kept a pantyliner on even. The next morning I had nothing at all and then when I went to the toilet (not all the time) and I wiped, there was a lil bit of blood. On the 22nd I had cramps all day down my left side... 21st I had Indigestion again + unprotected s*x!

A couple of nights I have felt quite sick, I keep feeling hot & cold... today I have bad indigestion. I just do not know what to do or think...

Part of me feels it is too early to get pregnant so quick after coming off the pill but then I read stories and see that anything is possible when you are not protected. I don't even know when to expect my next 'normal' period, so I would not know whether I'm late or whatever to take a test?

  1. In my experience, those are all natural symptoms of coming off of birth control pills. Especially the cramping, mood swings, and nausea. Your body is adjusting to normal. I would wait and if you haven't started by the second week of September, pee on a stick or go to the doctor. If you haven't started by October, go to the doctor. You could be suffering from amenorrhoea (absence of period).

  2. You can get pregnant within days of coming off the pill.

The only way to know for sure is to do a test.

  3. your body is probably just having withdrawal symptoms.  But now that you are off and still having unprotected s*x, you may end up pregnant... so remember it's not safe to drink or smoke.  And you should take a prenatal vitamin if you are trying to get pregnant.  I'd wait and see if you have no bleeding for a month, then take a test.

  4. I know exactly how you feel...I'm also on my first month after finishing Microgynon 30 on Julk 18th with my withdrawal bleed starting 21st July and felt as though I was due for my period last Sunday. I'm now 7-8 days "late" going by what I thought was my period coming and am on CD38!!! With the pill regulating your cycles to 28 days, I wouldn't have expected to STILL be waiting for my period and testing BFNs too. [I'm an obsessive tester and have done so since 10dpo!]

I would wait a few more days to test and if you still feel there might be a chance you are pregnant, wait a couple more days and re-test. I think you should book in for a blood test within the next week or so if AF still hasn't arrived.
