Ok...everyone I know thinks that I have endimitriosis because i have severe cramps on the first day of my periods. My legs get weak and i shake...etc. This usually happens because I have a heavy flow. My last period was really light....no heavy flow but still severe pains in my abdomen which kept me from work. It was also shorter by a couple of days. I have sensitive b*****s...and my nipples have become more sensitive. But i also have fibro adnoma in my breast tissue so i dont know if that could be the cause of the sensitivity. i have been gaining weight....8 lbs in about the past 2 months...which is not normal for me. My abdomen gets pains...and is very sensitive to touch in some areas and feels bloated. I am crying at the drop of a dime when watching tv and a mother sees her daughter off to college and stuff of that nature. I dont know what the heck is going on with my body and emotions. None of this is like me at all and I dont know what to do. I have had unprotected s*x alot lately with my boyfriend, but i dont know if i will be able to tell in a pregnancy test yet...

i know nothing about this stuff. is it just female problems that i need to get checked out or am i pregnant. im afraid to go to the doctor...but i probably need to. just looking for some advice.

  1. If you're feeling weird and your period was different, it can't hurt to take a test.  I know that the first symptom of pregnancy with my first was big emotional changes similar to the ones you are having.  I cried during the Simpsons for God's sake!  I say you should take a test in the morning.  It might be negative, might be positive.  No way for us to tell, really.

As for the bad period symptoms, it isn't necessarily endometriosis.  My cramping was horrible before I had kids.  I had to miss at least a day of school a month because the cramping was so bad and I generally felt lousy.  Still, it's worth looking into.  So, regardless of what the test says, I think a visit to the OB/GYN is in order for you as well.

  2. You should really go to your doc. Even if you aren't pregnant, there might be something else that's going on that your doc would be able to help you with. They might even be able to prescribe some birth control, which would help with the pain, as well as help you not get pregnant (duh, lol).

If you're scared to go because you think your doc would tell, just know that there are laws in place to protect you against that.

  3. GO to the store and bye a pregnancy test. IT sounds as if enough time passed for you to be able to tell. Just go and get it so you don't have to worry about it anymore.. IF your not pregnant then be safe and use protection!!!!! Hope it turns out ok.

  4. I would consult my physician. Your symptoms sound very similar to pregnancy symptoms, but just to be safe, I would make an appointment with my physician.
