Could I be prosecuted if I hit the emergency shut off switch at the gas station?

If they have me on camera is it a serious crime? What will most likely happen?

You may or may not get fined. It's completely up to the gas station owner. You won't get jail time or anything though.. lol

it probably isn't a serious crime, you will probably get fined at the most if anything at all.

Just curious though, why did you push the emergency shutoff switch, its usually far away from the pumps.

Why would you do that? If the situation was warranted and you had no choice but to shut the switch, then your in the clear but if you were acting like an AS*HOL* then you would face misdemeanor charges.

haha, i did that once, my n my homies were chillin at the gas station, so i hit the emergency stop switch when it was all busy, everybody FREAKED OUT, yelled, frustrated people, didnt get in trouble but it was worth the laugh....

Why would you want to do that? Unless someone's life was in danger I wouldn't dare. Gas station attendants are ALWAYS watching you even though you've already gone in and paid.

that's a big deal kid. when those go off cops are automatically called too the scene in case its a robbery your looking at 30 too life because that's a triple felony. Yeah your screwed and you will never see your girlfriend again and she will **** lots of guys with bigger dongs while your rotting in jail getting banged by some 400 pound black guy named chocolate rainnnnnn

did you pay for your gas?  if so, then why would you get in trouble?  if you left without paying, then yes, you can be arrested.
