  1. maybe i bet if u had them u would look even more cute :)

  2. yes, and its very likely if you marry someone with green or hazel eyes to have hazel eyed children. she also can just be a carrier for the trait and your children can still have green eyes..

but, if you don't carrie the gene, then all of your children will most likely have brown eyes, because brown is dominant to any other color.

  3. yep, one of my uncles has hazel despite my grandparents and all his siblings having brown

  4. Yes, you can. However, brown eyed gene is more dominant than any other gene. Then blue. :)

Best friends both have brown and hazel eyes and their kid has blue eyes from either the mom or dad's parent. Its weird, took a geneology class. Google it.

  5. yes it is...some genes are recessive and pass one generation to go to another.

  6. Eye color isn't actually determined by genes, it's determined by the pigments IN the genes.

So for example, brown eyes are caused by a lot of pigments, blue eyes are caused by genes with fewer pigments. And, it is possible to have some of both genes creating a midway point, such as dark blue, light brown and green. So, while you technically won't have a gene for hazel or green eyes, your offspring could have those color eyes if they wind up with a mixture.

  7. Yes, but technically you have green/hazel alleles (differing form of a gene). It is also possible for you to have green eyed kids but your partner must have a green/hazel eyed allele also.

  8. Yes, it is technically possible but the probability of having a child with green or hazel eyes is relatively small.

  9. Yes it is possible. If your eyes are not as dark as your dad's, but in between, possible light brown, it is possible that you are a recessive carrier of your mom's green eye green.

So if you married a woman with green eyes or who was also a carrier like you, then it is possible for you to have kids with green eyes.

  10. absoluyely

  11. Yes but your genotype for eyes would have to be Bb GG or Bb Gb.

  12. yes it's possible.

  13. Yes it is possible.  My spouse & I both have black hair but our kids are both blond, just like several of their cousins.  They even have a few cousins with red hair.  Comes from our Irish ancestors.

  14. Yes.

  15. yup.

both my parents have brown eyes and i have green eyes.

  16. If your wife has green/hazel eyes, maybe yes. Because the probability of a person getting colored eyes are much lesser than the probability of a person having a brown eyes.

  17. yes

however, if you are a carrier, then it is a recessive gene

therefore, the chances are low that you will pass it on to your offspring

  18. My father had the nicest blue eyes and my mother had brown. Brown is the most dominent of the 3 gene sets that are responsible for eye color. You can end up with almost anything if you get the recessives and pair or tripple them. I ended up with hazel that turn from blue to almost a green depending on blood pressure.
