Question:

Could I exchange my LCD if it has serious motion blur?

I bought a 40" Sony Bravia LCD TV 2 months ago and am just noticing now that it has SERIOUS motion blur and lagging, especially on dark scenes. I thought the 100hz motion flow was meant to correct this problem, but it doesn't!

My LG LCD has no motion blur at all and it was a cheap telly.

I have yet to ring Sony and ask them, but could this allow me to get a new unit from them? I also have backlight bleed in the top right hand corner. I have a 5 year warranty.

Thanks in advance.

  1. you're probably to late to return to the store, but you can contact Sony. you should find the number on their website. good luck.

  2. you meant 120hz right?  first of all, are you sure you have the Motion Enchancer/CinaMotion options turned on?  what are you connected to?  HDMI or Component?  it makes a world of difference when you calibrate your set... no TV should be perfect out of box... in a fantasy world, perhaps, but different conditions do exist in the real world.
