  1. It's just as likely as becoming NFL quarterback by reading books and watching games on TV.

If you really want to get a black belt that badly, you can buy one here for $14.99

    Otherwise, go get an instructor.

  2. You can buy a belt at the local store and present it to yourself however, the only one who will be fooled by such is yourself.

Don't seek a belt, seek knowledge.

    Be well.

  3. I am certain you could find someone to give you a black belt.  I've seen "instructors" who offer video courses that you buy, then send them videos of you doing the exercises.  They judge and rank you all the way up to black belt.  But, as people mentioned, you should save yourself the time and  money and just go buy one, since the "training" is worthless.  If you can't afford it, you'd be better off buying some mma gloves and fighting with your buddies in the back yard. (Disclaimer, I do not recommend you actually do that though.  Save your money and get real instruction)

  4. yes you could but it would take years and years to get a black belt and a instructor in the style your training in would have to test you and give you a black belt. it is much better to go to a school or class and get one rather than to waste your time reading from books how to train.

besides you can get a black belt in about 6 years or so at a school.it would take like 10 in books.

  5. Actuality they do have courses like that but they still require that you have a willing sparring partner to perform the techniques on so that you can tape yourself performing the techniques for rank certification. The method of learning you want is called distance education courses the basis of these courses is that you practice the material in the book or DVD with a willing sparring partner. Then you tape yourself performing the moves with your partner then sending in the video into the instructor for grading to earn rank in the system. If you want to get good in Ninjitsu they have an organization called SWAN that promotes and sponsors Ninjitsu fighters in local MMA events in the fighter's state and hosts tournaments as well. They have other styles to learn from and other places that offer distance courses than the ones I'm listing but the ones that I listed gives you the most rewards for studying with them.

  6. yes but you will not receive a black belt.

  7. If you train by yourself who is going to present you with a black belt let alone any belt?

  8. theoretically it is possible to reach a black belt level on your own, but black belts (and all belts for that matter) need to be awarded to you by an instructor of some sort, so.....no you couldnt

  9. If you are going to do that you might as well just go buy a belt and save yourself a lot of work for nothing.

You cannot learn effectively by video, internet or book. If you are already trained it can be a great supplement, however you need an instructor to correct the mistakes that you will make. you also need people to train with so that you can practice with resisting opponents.

If you want a Black belt, buy one, but it will not be recognized by any legitimate martial artist, school or organization.
