I know that "my soul mate" is Mo Anam Cara, but I want to know how to say "You are my soul mate." So basically just looking for the "You are" part. Help is appreciated. And thanks in advance.

  1. An bhfuil cead agam dul amach go dti an leithreas, mas e do thoil e, mo anam cara.

  2. Is m'anam Chara thu (with a fada on the 'u' in thu)

    And btw, its called Irish, not gaelic =]

    EDIT: To those people who put 'ainm', you are wrong. 'Ainm' is name. 'Anam' is soul, or spirit.

  3. Is m'ainm chara thú.

    Or

    Is tusa m'ainm chara.

    Either of the above are good. They are the same meaning.

  4. "Is m'anamchara thú"

    soulmate = m'anamchara

    the "o" is replaced by an apostrophe and the cara gets a séimhiú (h) so should be chara.

    You can also say it this way.

    "Is m'anamchara tú"

    "Is tusa m'anamchara"

  5. Read this before going ahead with "anamcara"
