I currently have a weighted GPA of 3.605. I have taken numerous Honors, and AP courses, as well as passed the English Language and Composition AP test with a 4 (the best you can get is a 5). I also have volunteered a lot at my high school, such as our schools welcome center, I have been teacher aids for two years now, and I am a homeroom leader. I also volunteer to coach a 7th grade girls basketball team during the winter and I have work experience. I even headed our schools Fitness Challenge during my sophomore year. Also, both of my parents went to Michigan, along with my two grandparents, my uncle whom is one of their pride alumnist ( Dr. David Harlan) and I have two cousins who are attending the university now.

The only downside is that I haven't taken my SAT or ACT yet.

So...what do you think? I am expecting to do well on my SAT; I take it in October.

  1. First of all, you need to get the standardized tests taken care... BUt as far as your resume in high school, you seem well prepared and qualified for Michigan. I wouldn't rely too much on family connections with the university but having family members who are Michigan alumnis certainly won't hurt.

I think you're good to go, but study hard for SAT or ACT so that you'll get satisfying results that will help to raise your chances for admissions. Good luck!
