I was sent a promotional offer from DeBeers, the diamond monsters, or how ever they are spelled. But any way it was an offer about getting their emails on their latest jewelry. They asked me to reply to their ad if I was interested. But instead of replying in a nice way, I told them how much I hated them and their means of getting their blood diamonds by slaving men, women, and children. I then told them to not ever send me a fu@king thing from their company because I refuse to wear a single diamond, no matter where it is from. But could I get in any trouble for sending that as a reply?

  1. I doubt it, there are activists out there all the time doing this for many causes. As long as you didn't directly threaten anyone, you should be fine.

  2. nope you are protected by freedom of speech if you are a USA resident

  3. nah but u want to be polite when sending hate mail. if ur trying to get a point across, being a jerk is just going to make you look bad.

    PS: i support ur cause!

  4. No. I doubt anyone will even read it.

  5. I don't think so, you were just telling the truth.

  6. No, not at all.

  7. No. I like the way you expressed yourself!

  8. No but most likely they are all gonna laugh at your emails.

  9. No. You merely stated your opinion.  Which you have a right to do.

  10. No I doubt it because they probably don't even read it. However you should get your facts right before you start mouthing off. I do not agree at all with blood diamonds I think it is a disgusting way of making money, words can't describe it, however not all diamonds are blood diamonds. In fact the majority aren't. Even so you can't tell whether it is a blood diamond or not but maybe you shouldn't be so vicious. Did Martin Luther King get himself noticed by shouting and swearing. I think not.

  11. Don't worry too much about that.  It sounds like a scam to me in anyway. I do not believe that a big company such as De Beers will operate via e-mail.  In any case, it is highly unlikely that they will be able to learn your true identity through your email account.

But judging by the guilt you feel now, I suggest you should think carefully in future before responding to emails of this nature!

  12. Freedom of Speech. If you sent one e-mail, you are fine. If you sent numerous then you might be at risk for a harrassment charge. But one? Nope.

  13. Bravo!! You did the right thing. You won't get into trouble b/c it cost MONEY to go after someone, and they're money grabbers! Plus, you're just voicing your opinions!!! Good JOB!

  17. Ummm no, what do you think they could do to you?

You'll probably get a reply saying that they don't do that though.

  18. Nope. Thats your opinion. I doubt they care what you think anyway.

  19. NO!

  20. You are silly to think you will get in trouble for that. And your email will probably be ignored anyway.

  21. no. under the free speach act as long as you did not threaten them or the means of their company you will not get in trouble.
