Question:

Could I get into Reed or Smith?

My top two college choices are Reed and Smith. I am a High School senior, and I have taken all honors courses, have a 4.0 unweighted, took 5 AP classes and got 4s and 5s on the exam. I dual enrolled in Community college and volunteered at the Humane Society. I am the editor-in-chief of my school newspaper and am involved in other clubs.

What are my chances of getting in?

(you can be honest)

  1. Yes, you have a very good shot at both of them.  I got into Smith with everything the same but a 3.7 GPA instead - you should be fine.

  2. I don't know your SAT scores, so I can't tell you for sure, but assuming they are in the ranges for Reed and Smith, I'd say you're a good candidate.

  3. Smit is really not very competitive and is SAT optional. It would be very hard to see someone with a 4.0 in honors classes and 4's and 5's on APs not getting in. Reed is a bit harder, but you still look good.
