My period is regular and I am 15. But some of the symptoms of pcos is acne, hair thinning, skin tags, and discoloring skin. I have those four symptoms but there are many more symptoms that I don't have. Could this be pcos?

  2. Unfortunately, there is no test to definitely diagnose pcos, like they do down syndrome or kidney failure.  Its a rule-out diagnosis - which means all the other possible causes were eliminated.

Have a gyn yet??  They will probably be hesitant, but push them to do a scan of your ovaries and some blood work.

Personally, I think the medicine is worse than the condition.  Especially since the symptoms that bother people most can be treated without a pcos diagnosis.

Find out now.  Don't wait.  Better to get treatment going before you find out you'll never have kids.
