I have been known to say things and then get strange looks and people have reactions to things I say and do and I know they think that what I said or did was not right and I feel the same way after I did it. I feel out of control but I do it anyway.

  2. bipolar is a two-way disorder, the only way it could be possible if you have extreme mood fluctuations, which are considered extreme depression and manic.

the manic stage can be any sort of extreme opposite emotion compared to depression, like manic happiness or manic anger. in the eyes of other people, they may assume you are on drugs, because you will be rushing around trying to do everything at once. you will also have a split personality and these fluctuations can happen within days, weeks or months.

  3. That's a possiblity, anti-depressents shouldn't be taken by people with Bipolar Disorder without a mood stabilizer in place.  It could also just mean that the lexapro is making you feel better.  You should discuss your concerns with your doctor and hopefully he is a psychiatrist.  Psychiatrists are the best doctors to diagnose mental health conditions.

  4. It could be that it's the wrong antidepressant for you, Bunny.  Talk to you doc about the elevated symptoms.  You may not be bipolar as much as having what is called a paradoxical drug reaction.  That means that in stead of simply stabalizing your mood, it is over elevating your mood.
