  1. If you have an oral infection, you should be on antibiotics.  Get in touch with the oral surgeon who extracted your teeth and let him know what's going on!  He may need to repack the wound with medicated gauze in order to promote healing.

Letting an infection go-- especially in a place as sensitive as your mouth-- can definitely lead to complications.  If you are experiencing those symptoms, you may be in danger of becoming septic (i.e., having the infection move to your blood stream).  Swallowing the material on its own shouldn't have any impact, but the infection itself is liable to spread.

If it *is* just dry socket (which can create a foul taste in your mouth), then it is not an infection and you shouldn't be concerned.  The pain will continue for about three days, and you can visit your dentist for pain killers or repacking of the wound, but there is no real risk aside from this.

In any circumstance, you should phone your dentist ASAP!

  2. You def need to go see a doc! I mean duh, you aren't feeling well after a surgical procedure...at least call them! (just worried about your health) A fever can be a definite sign of infection but it might just be a reaction to the surgery itself and might pass. Either way you don't want to chance it...

  3. Does sperm goes to the bloodstream when swallowed? You think about that.

  4. Perhaps you need to call the dentist or doctor for some antibiotics, if you know you have an infection, you need to get it treated immediately.
