I wanna work as a scare actor at Halloween Horror Nights really bad but you have to be 18 and I'm 15. Could i lie about my age? I could just makeup a birth date right? It's not like they ask for a birth certificate or an i.d and people say i look way older than i am anyway.

Could i get away with it?

  1. if you have to be 18 by law and it isn't just a company decision or rule, then, by law, the organization must ensure you are 18 (just like when you buy alcohol or a cigarette), so you would have to supply them with i.d, and things of that nature

  2. Depends,we have no clue what you look like.and they will ask for a proof of birth.

  3. You would most certainly need to show some form of ID when you are getting a job. Also in order to be paid (which is the real reason why we all work!) you have to fill out a W4 form... and when you complete the w4 form it asks for certain forms of ID.

So you could get away with it possibly, if its under the table. But not if its a legal paying job, no.

  4. Is Halloween Horror Nights a one time event that occurs every Halloween? Or is this some kind of club with the name "Halloween Horror Nights"? Also, are you interested in working there for money or for the fun of it? By law no one can hire you until you're 17 because of child labor laws. If this is a club that serves alcohol, you have to be at the minimum age limit to work there I think 18 or 21. If this is a Halloween event that occurs every year and you want to work there for fun, ask if you can volunteer for free. That won't break any child labor laws and you might get an upper hand in the hiring process when you're old enough to work there since you would already know about how the place works.

  5. h**l yeah i look way oler too when i straighten my hair, and put on loads of make up.

i get away with 19 all the time...and im only 14!

    have fun and good luck.

  6. I think they have to check id before the hire. Loook into it.

  7. I wouldn't. It;s for security reasons. Imagine you get injured and have to go to the hospital, they will need your real info. You'll get fired (obviously) and you'll have awful references to present to future potential employers.

  8. NO!

  9. Yeah I don't see why not.  Thats what the Chinese gymnasts did...

  10. if you get caught yeah good luck.... and please dont do that..... you can wait 3 years..

  11. probably, just make sure that you don't like slip up about it.

  12. Most employers ask for SOME form of ID, even if they don't photocopy your birth certificate. In addition, they will need your real information because if you're getting paid via check, they will tax it and your information won't check out with the government's.

However, if it's a short gig and they're paying you cash or as an independent contractor, as long as you don't earn over a certain amount (around $600 depending on the state) you actually might be fine.
