Could I mail in the audition?

I am an aspiring musician and I want to audition for the Disney channel.I sing,songwrite,play keyboard, and I am learning electric guitar.I also have some acting ability and would like to be on shows such as Camp Rock 2.But i dont live in L.A yet and I was wondering if I could mail in an Audition tape,or headshot,or sample cd or something.

First of all, your aspirations are excellent, and not uncommon. The not uncommon part is the problem, there are hundreds of thousands of people in your position that want to audition for the Disney Channel, honestly why would Disney pick you over the hundreds of thousands of other people that send them in head shots and resumes? The answer is that they won't. You need to slowly but surely build up a reputation for yourself and your opportunities. You will then receive larger and larger opportunities until the Disney Channel is in sight! Work hard and I'm sure that you'll get there. Be sure to avoid scams, there are many companies that look to cheat aspiring actors such as yourself. As a general note any service offering to get you auditions with the Disney Channel is most likely a scam. Also, honest agents will not ask you for large sums of money upfront. Be wise, internet search all companies/people you work with, and keep your head straight, don't let ego/hope overtake your sensibilities. You don't want to move to LA right away, you want to start gaining a reputation in your local community by acting is school/community plays, then moving up to regional plays, finding an agent, and then approaching the Disney Channel, Disney is more likely to hire a seasoned actor, then a novice, since plenty of good seasoned actors apply. Another decision you have to make is whether you would prefer to be a regional star in plays, singing, etc., or a small star in a major market such as LA. Be realistic and realize that being a big star in a smaller market might be more satisfying and attainable.
