Could I mail myself in a box to another location?

This is a serious question and I am considering it.

What if I could mail myself in a box.

I could take some oxygen tank and have it delivered next day.

Put my Ipod on and just wait 24 hours.

If it gets to hot. I will cut the box open.

What are the risks?

Will they run a scan on the box and be able to see me?

I am a college student and don't have much money to travel.

  1. dont do it....i mean if its to go to college try to get a college closer to your house...btw they do scan the boxes and if they found out your are there....u + ur parents would be in serious problems..so i recommend dont do it plzzzz

  2. It's against the law.

    you'd be taken to jail.

is it worth throwing away your life?

    just to go on vacation?

also, instead of buying an airtank use the money to buy a ticket to get where ever you are going. plane, train, boat, car?

  3. lol youre funny. you would get miserably hot and suffocate in the back of a 18 wheeler mail truck.

    good question though ;)

  4. try it. let us know how it goes.

  5. They scan it.  The processing plants can be extremely dangerous and the shipping for your weight even if you are light would probably be as much as gas. I'm sure you'd be violating some laws or something as well haha.

  6. I don't think that's legal, but I really don't know. I hope somebody does, because I would love to know the answer to that question as well. And the shipping cost would be huge (but probably not as much as a plane ticket).

  7. there will be large discomfort

most mailing companies do not care about the this end up markings on a box

you will not be comfortable but it could work

make sure you figure out how you are gonna pee

  8. i don't think you should try it, what about if you need to go to the restroom??

  9. Best. Question. Ever.

The shipping costs would be high, though. I mean, it's like over 100 lbs of package.

  10. I thought it's only in movies lol

I actually think about the same thing several times but only as an imagination (u no it's impossible)

if you can stay still for hours probably yes but what're you going to put on the "description box" of the mail?

An animal? They will check it

  11. This is actually quite commom.  There is even a special line for this at the delivery center.  They even attach a monitor to you and if you happen to die while being shipped they automatically reroute the box to the nearest morgue.

  12. Do you know what it costs to mail a package these days?

buy a bus ticket it is cheap and you meet interesting people.

  13. no you cant do that.

    thats only in movies.

  14. For one thing there is not enough oxygen in a tank to last long enough to get you to your destination all mail is carried by airplane and in the cargo area there is a lot of pressure the tank would probably blow if you could get past the handlers.

As stupid as that sounds I remember reading how people in other countries thinking that would be a good way to go to America hid in  the wheel wells of the air plane.  Strapping themselves to the roof of the wheel wells.

the pressure crushed their skulls and they had no oxygen.

they arrived in America and fell out when they opened the wheel wells to land the plane, they landed on the runway dead of course.

  15. In light of beefed up securtiy everywhere Im going to say you would never get away with it. A few years back there was a guy who mailed himself to I believe( his moms house) the package was delivered by ups but as soon as the box was delivered to the door , the guy popped out and was caught. Im not sure what happened to him but he did get into trouble. The packages are being scanned now, in fact that warning is posted at post offices. I wouldnt do it if i were you, there are so many things that could go wrong.
