I added the Quick cure today to a Medication Aquarium. I was hoping to be able to add the Maracyn tomorrow because i believe some of my fish have tail rot.

If any more info needed please ask..

  1. you should use 1 treatment then after 7 days do a water change of 30 % then you will be able to use another treatment good luck

  2. I wouldn't put 3 forms of medication in straight away as it can be too many chemicals for the fish to handle, i would give this treatment a couple of days for it to take effect then do a partial water change before adding in the second lot of medication

    hope this helps

  3. It's never good to use more than one medication at a time, too many different kinds at once can actually kill your fish.

  4. There wouldn't be any interactions, but the two medications will do a number on the fishes' livers.  I would not recommend it at all.  Ich is far more dangerous, and should be treated first, especially since the malachite green and formalin will slow the bacterial fin rot considerably.  Be sure to remove any activated carbon from the filter during treatment, and keep the tank dark while using malachite green based products, as they degrade with exposure to light.

Ich will not be treated in 7 days-- get the temperature to around 80-82* and treat for at LEAST one week after all signs of the infection fish disappear.  Shortened treatments often lead to resistant strains of the parasite.
