Could I of went blind??

Question

A couple months ago I accidently poked myself in my eye, and the doctor said I scratched my cornea. Was there a chance that I could of went blind? If I went too deep or something? I'm glad I didn't lol but I just wanna know.

Chances are that the scratch was not very deep and it will have no affect on your eyesight. About 3 years ago, I scratched my cornea when I was hit in the eye with a basketball. My eye doctor told me that my vision would not be affected, and as of right now, its perfectly fine. Don't worry.

That would be a good question to ask your optomitrist. Who else would know better the answer to that question?

Ummm, yea, if you went too deep your eye probably would have to have been removed & I'm pretty sure that causes blindness. lol

no i dont think so, maybe cant see for a couple days but that can be cured. i think maybe if you like jabbed a knife in your eye you prob could of went blind ;)

yes you could have gone blind if the scratch got infected, or went too deep. thats why they say to keep things away from your eyes lol jk hope ur ok now.... hope this helps next time be more careful
