Question

Hey guys,

so for my drama assignment we have to find the most original / interesting way to re-do a midsummer nights dream.

my first thought was to bring it into modern day times and set it in a highschool (midsummer high) and have them as teenagers caught in a web of confusion and love.

i was wondering if anyone had any really cool ideas, it doesnt matter how totally not like the original they are!

i say u r wrestling a pig in the sky on a floating giant burrito and lose and then u die and have a funeral and then two ppl at the funeral r sad and get in love and do it lol

Try a bicycle helmet as a curse prop.

When the morning breaks, a person dropping the bicycle helmet to the ground before the people wake up breaks the curse.

This my only guess. This will be almost like in the style of the ballet called "The Firebird", where a person who drops the egg ends some type of curse.

How about the contrast between children of the 1960's--wealthy, cleancut and normal (for the human characters), with the courts of Titania and Oberon depicted as psychedelic hippies? That'd certainly give a little edge to the idea of those who have "slumbered here/ While these visions did appear."
