Me and my partner recently had unprotected s*x Monday August 18. Prior to that, I had some common PMS like symptoms such as tender & sore b*****s, cramps and a clear, stretchy discharge. However I did not get my period for the entire week. I recently got what I think is my period, early on Monday August 25 (around 3-4 in the morning, which had woke me up from my sleep), which started off light and picked up heavier with bright red blood & some clotting during the day. After that, it became a very light flow (blood was still seaping out but very lightly), when I'd wipe it was still distinctly red but it was not coming out as heavy and frequently as normal. Now it has stopped completely being late Wednesday night but my breast still feel sore and I have mild cramping. I normally receive my period for 3 days and it's usually heavier and not as light as what I'm experiencing. However, I did take a HPT (home pregnancy test) on Tuesday August 26 which turned out to be negative, but by doing some research I have found that taking one during the implantation process - which I am considering this lighter flowed & shorer bleeding to be, since this happens as early as a week after conception and regardless of the blood for being red and not pink or brown as implantation bleeding is described to be - is too early to test and may produce faulty results. I am just a little weirded out because this is not a normal period for me. Could my body just be undergoing changes due to the fact I had unprotected s*x for the first time as well as stressing myself out over this? Please help, it's greatly appreciated. Thank-you!

  1. you had unprotected s*x.  yes, you can be pregnant.

  2. Don't get an abortion! It's murder!

  3. How long before you had unprotected s*x did you get your last period?  You're most likely to fall pregnant between days 14 and 16 of your cycle.

Although, it is possible to fall pregnant at any time and a pregnancy test won't be accurate until there is enough hormones in your system - usually 2 weeks after implantation.

  4. Your body may be reacting to stress and other things.  You also may be pregnant.  I think you should wait it out another week or so and then take a test again if you are still having symptoms, of course you can always go to the doctor to get more accurate results.

  5. i had the same sort of symptons 1 week after unprotected s*x with my partner, slight cramps and pms type symptons and had what i thought was implantation bleeding. i had my period 2 weeks after.

I was thinking i was pregnant especially after reading everyone's questions and answers on this site but in the end it was all just in my head.

What ever the outcome this time round have fun trying, i know i am!
