I have a 2 gallon tank and I've heard three of any of these breeds would work in it, but would one of each be okay or would they fight?

  1. 1- a 2 gallon tank is WAY too small for those three fish.

    # 2- neon tetras need to be in groups of at least 3

Those fish are okay with each other but that tank will be wayyy too small for three fish.

  2. They all are compatible with each other... but you might want to think about the size of your tank... there's a basic rule... you want to use 1 fish per gallon.

  3. not in a 2 gallon tank they wont.....

They are compatilbe, if you had a 10gal or bigger tank.

  4. hey i have a 2gallon as well so i understand how u feel, k first off you can get up to 3neons so they stay as a mini-school. if you get 1 platy get a male platy and 1male guppy they will add beautiful color to youre tank and they wont breed, i hope ive helped and good luck =D

  5. nothing is suitable for a 2 gallon

even bettas need 3 gallons minimum

neons need to school in groups of 6+ and platys and guppys like to have company from there own kind

  6. well, i highly recommend u don't put one of each only cause they wont socialize as much, and may  die of depression. See, if all three was the same, they would all get along and stay happy. If u want your tank diverse, why not get diff. color guppy's. Guppy's come in many colors.

    have fun.... =]
