Could I receive licensure as a school psychologist with a doctorate in counseling or clinical psychology?

Or does my degree specifically have to be a school psych specialization? And this is for the state of Texas.

I can't speak for texas, but usually a Phd in counseling will not allow you to get a school psychologist licensure.  Clinical might. Why not look at University of virginia?  They have a dual degree (PHD in clinical and School psych.)
