Question:

Could I renew my British passport in the future??

Would like to ask about my British passport. Now I don't live in UK, but come back for holiday 1,2 times a year. I have to look after my parents in my country, so don't think I would be able to come back to UK to live for a long period. In my country, the dual passport is forbidden, but UK is like my second home country now, so I would like to keep its passport forever if I could. Would you think it is possible??

  1. Yes, you can renew it from overseas regardless of whether you used it to exit the UK or not, it doesn't matter what your country thinks about the UK passport, your UK citizenship remains in tact. When it comes time to renew your passport, (do this when you have about 8 months validity left) take a visit to the UK embassy and renew. It only takes about 5 to 10 days.

  2. You should be able to renew your British passport at the consulate or embassy near where you live.

Can't help with that because you don't say which country you're in.

  3. I very much doubt it, especially if you aren't a UK citizen...  You don't say where your parents live (which country)

  4. I don't think it's possible. You say you come back for a holiday a few times a year, well i go on holiday to egypt a few times a year, but i don't have a passport for it.

You need to live here for most of the year to get a passport i'm afraid. But check with the passport authority to be sure.

  5. U should ask the  British Intrior Ministry

  6. Gotta choose

  7. Yeah, just do what I do, I enter and exit Australia on one passport, but use the UK/EU one for other travel.  Renewing it should not be an issue.

  8. You should ask the British Embassy or citizens advice.Good
