Could I ride this bike in the Winter?

Alright, so i was thinking about buying this bike. I live in Winnipeg Manitoba. *That's Canada if you didn't know*

I REALLY want one of these 2 bikes.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I can't afford a bike and a car. I really do want a bike though.

And maybe i diffrent type of motorcycle would work?

I've only seen this done once. Older guy back in the 70's had a Honda 350 that he rode year round. In the winter he had a pair of spring loaded outrigger wheels that he could lower with his feet when the going got rough. Couldn't stop worth a p**p in the slushy stuff though.
