The tree is a Blue Jaracanda. I've tried 2 other methods and I'm still waiting to see if anything happens.

I wanna see if this method works.I've heard that it won't work because the roots that grows won't adapt to a new enviorment.

I've also heard that it will work.

Right now I have a few cuttings and a few different others in a jar with water. So someone please give some clarification.

  1. Try tieing a plastic bag filled with your favorite soil to a branch, but first score the branch so it will seng roots in the new direction............or add chemicals to your water(growth)good luck

  2. Some trees will never root in water, others root easily. Willow trees are famous for rooting, and if you want to encourage other cuttings to root, it is a good idea to add a few sprigs of willow to the water.

I have no experience with rooting blue jacaranda cuttings, but according to my references, they root easily.

Once a cutting has developed roots in water, you need to be very careful when potting it in potting soil as the roots are delicate. You also need to keep the atmosphere round the plant humid with a plastic bag until the cutting has established itself in the pot.

  3. With plants it is easier to move them into a new environment. Moving a tree is a lot harder. When i moved my tree it died the following week. I would suggest that this method will not work.
