  1. go on....you can do it...[if u B&Q it]......

ill keep an eye out on the news..

  2. Are you sure its 5000 tons.

    Thats big!

Some war ships are not that big?

  3. No to move 5,000 tons of yak you will need a whole bunch of cowbouys to keep them in order.

  4. yes you can if you can afford the fuel

  5. Aye, my crew have mutinied, and I be sailing my 5000 ton plus skip round the carribean by mysel'. So sure it can be done.

Them salty dogs'll soon come looking for work when I comes back with the treasure!

I'll have 'em all and make 'em sweat like dogs!

    Bon voyage hearty mate.

  6. As a 5,000 ton "yacht" is going to be in the region of 400ft. I would seriously doubt it !

  7. Tell me, whilst you are cruising will you have time to study a dictionary.  OF COURSE YOU COULDN'T.  "Hi there fellow, you  50 feet below, untie the ropey thing so I can be on my way.  By the way, is it left hand or right hand down a bit for USA"

  8. If your name is Ellen Macarthur I'd say "yes, no problem".  Otherwise I'd recommend doing a lot of research into automatic control systems and get yourself a crewmember to cover the times when you're asleep.

  9. no , so get it done  ! if somebody can sail a bathtub you can handle a big boat , ignore these , they are  just the establishment preserving their own domain , the vikings didn't have training , the romans didn't , lots of civilications didn't .

  10. You been drinking the rum?!!! Bit of a pointless question.

  11. Um... do you have any idea just how BIG that thing is?  If it's a power boat you need a minimum of a crew of 5 and if it's a SAILBOAT... and a 5000 TON sailboat would be a BIG handful for even a seasoned crew of 20 or more... I SERIOUSLY doubt you would be able to sail it to the U.S by yourself... for one thing... I SERIOUSLY doubt you could get clearance from the Harbor Master to even MOVE the beast, let along taking it out past the breakwater.

  12. if you have to ask that question then no...you can't.

  13. 5000 ton yacht is rather large for one person. I could design a remote control system that theoretically do the job. But unless you have billions to throw away and are willing to risk death, don't try.

  14. Absolutely by yourself? I'd say that was irresponsible.

How do you sleep? You need a watch even when on auto pilot. What to you do when you arrive in port? How do you berth?

  15. No. A 5000 ton ship is much too large for one person to handle alone. No owner would allow it, either.

  16. the new USCG Nat'l Security Cutters weigh in at 5000 tons and are 418' long. they have a crew of, wait, classified info and you don't have a need to know for asking if you could skipper one of these alone!

Where are some of these questions coming from?
