I get mostly get my period every 4 weeks but sometimes 5 weeks. If I go by 4 weeks then i'm 2 weeks and 2 days late, if I got by 5 weeks i'm a week and 2 days late.

I've not really had any of the symptoms of pregnancy and i've looked up what might affect my period and make it late such as things like stress but as far as I can think nothing really fits. When I was on my last period I was taking medication for a gingivitis infection I had in my mouth. It was a 7 day course so I was off them long before this period should have started (i was off them before my last period ended) I've looked online and nothing suggests that they'd affect it.

I've just taken a pregnancy test and the result was negative. I'm going to take the test again later this week just to be sure if I haven't got my period.

It's really worrying me as i've never missed a period. I'm pretty healthy and i'm I don't feel stressed.

What do you think the chances are that I'm pregnant? and what should I do if the 2nd test is negative and I still have no period?

I'm 22 and living in U.K.

  1. When was your Last period, and did you have s*x on the Ovulation day or around that time you mite think you did.

  2. i took around 15 tests and they were all negative, but i was pregnant.. so its very possible..

  3. Yes, you can still be pregnant if your pregnancy test says NO. You can test negative and be positive, but if you test Postive, it can't be a negative.

Also, you said that you had a gingivitis infection. If you were taking an antibiotic, I've heard that they can make your birth control pill stop working. I wish more doctors would tell their patients this! I had to find out the hard way. Just like they tell you that smoking is bad, so are antibiotics and the pill.

Stress could be a factor and for your sake, I hope it is.  If you test negative after the 2nd test, relax alittle. If you don't have a period for another week after that, go to the doctor and have a test done.

    good luck!
