  1. yes you can get a degree

  2. most likely

  3. If you did not meet the criteria for a standard diploma and received a special diploma instead, chances are colleges will not accept you.  There are options, however.

You can take the GED test (many counties have free classes at night to help you study and prepare for it) and colleges will accept it as a regular diploma.

If you want to work with children there are other jobs you can have than a teacher.  You can be an assistant, or there may be other day care jobs that require a training program and not a GED.  There are also positions in other places, such as a hospital that will allow you to work with children, (like in the nursery) that may not require a degree.

Your guidance counselor (if you're in high school) or college advisor should be able to help you with more information.  The library also has many career books available.

Good luck in whatever you choose to do.

  4. If you graduated high school with a special ed diploma you will have to get your GED in order to go to college. You could possibly take a few intro classes at a community college or technical college, but they usually don't allow you to start a degree program without getting your GED first.

  5. are youtalking about a high school diploma?

if it is a modified standard diploma-yes

if it is a special education diploma/certificate of completion-most colleges will not accept you
