  1. Visit the University Language Services website: http://www.universitylanguage.com

It has a guide for international students who want to study in the US, and it includes much more information than I could ever type here!

The guide explains what tests to take (like the SAT and TOEFL) and how to prepare, how to apply to universities and what to expect when you get to the US.

    Good luck!

  2. 1) Student visa

    2) Checkout each universities website, find a specific university

    3) good GPA

    4) TOEFL exam

    5) cost of living

  3. Applying to universities in the United States is a very simple process but also a very time consuming one.

If you narrow down your choices of universities which you would like to attend, then simply visit that school's website (a quick Google search will give you the correct link) and look a section called either 'admissions' or 'international student admissions', sometimes you will have to go through admissions to get to the international student section. Once you find it, there it will tell you how you can apply to said university as an international student including all of the application forms, requirements, procedures, documentation, tests and exams required for admission.

Once you have applied and if you get accepted, the university will issue you with what is known as an I-20 and with this form you then pay the $100 SEVIS fee and then schedule an interview at the U.S. Embassy in your country of residence for your F-1 (student) visa.

    Things to consider:

    - Financial costs: Tuition and living expenses in the U.S. will cost quite a considerate sum of money. You are looking at figures ranging from $18,000 to $45,000 per year, for an undergraduate degree. If you are post-grad then the average cost is $35,000 per year, for tuition alone.

Don't forget there are other additional costs to consider such as transportation, health insurance, renters insurance, texts books and other school supplies.

    - Exams: Many universities require applicants to take either the SAT I or ACT tests and many of the most competetive schools will require the SAT II: Subject Tests in addition to the either the SAT I or ACT. Post-grads also required to takes tests such as the GRE, GMAT depending on what they plan to study. So again check the school's website for more information regarding this.

Also for international students who are from countries were English is not the primary language are also required to take the TOEFL in addition to any other tests required for addmission.

All of these tests, cost more money. So you will need to budget for these also.
