If this is not possible, since i only have one RCA cable that is actually meant for car audio could I wire my 2 subs to one channel on my 2 channel amp??and if i was to do that would i just hook them up together(2 +wires in one terminal and 2 - wires in one terminal).or would i wire them as if i was wiring them to a monoblock and just hook em' up in parallel??how will this effect the power??

  1. The DVD RCA cables should be fine for input to the amplifier.

  2. go buy a pair of rca's. like 14 dollars for mid grade

  3. since it is a two channel amp, you should be able to do that with no problem if you hook your subs up in stereo ( 2 channel). you can hook them up in three ways, stereo 2 channel, which won't have that much affect on your battery. mono series ( one channel, with the positive from your amp going to the positive of one speaker, and hooking that speakers negative to the positve of the second speakers, and the negative going back to the amp, resulting in a 4 ohm if the subs are 2 ohm, or 8 ohms if the subs are 4 ohm) that will have a less of a draw on you electrical system, but won't hit as hard.

or hooking your system up mono parellel (hooking the amps positive to the first subs positve, jumping to the second subs positive, and hooking amps negative to the second subs negative, jumping to the first subs negative, which will result in a 1 ohm load if they are two ohm subs, or 2 ohms if they are 4 ohm subs) which will cause a considerable drain on the electrical system if you have a stock altenator.and unless your amp is class d, i do not personally recommed this, since you run the risk of overpowering the amp and frying it.

but whichever path you choose, the RCA jacks will work fine.
