Could Infra Red Radiation be used in the creation of Vitamin D?

  1. no its ultraviolet radiation that is used by the skin to create vitamin D. Infrared will just give burns & cancer on too much exposure


  2. No.  The photons of infrared radiation do not have sufficient energy to for the chemical reaction that is involved in the biosynthesis of vitamin D.  Infrared radiation will only heat the skin.
