The Silver Fox David Person's 105 wins, before his career is over? I am sure he would love to hold the the second place spot behind Richard Petty. He is 37 now and says he would like to retire at or around 40.

He is currently 6th on the list with 81 wins and would have to pass the following drivers.

Darrell Waltrip 84 wins

Bobby Allison 84 wins

Cale Yarbrough 83 wins

  1. No, he will retire before that happens.  He should pass the others and end up 3rd.

    3 STR8 N 08!!!

  2. Its going to be tough for him to get 105. Besides Kyle Busch there is a lot of parity in the sport. If he races for another 7 years (which would make him 43 years old) he would have to average a littel over 3 wins a year.

  3. No.  The competition is stronger than ever and he wont win as consistently as before.  He does has a lifetime contract with Hendricks though......

  4. Well he will easily pass DW, Bobby and Cale...but say he retires at 40.  He has 24 races to tie...25 to surpass David Pearson.  Thats winning 8 races for two years and 9 for one.  I don't know about that.  He's good but I am going to say no.
