in a one on one situation kareem could defeat anyone but it would be close between him vs. shaq or hakeem cuz they're both much stronger and bulkier than kareem. kareem has the advantage cuz he didnt need to dunk in order to score he had the great fundamental skills of a great center he had the hook, dunk and short jump shot while both shaq and hakeem depend on strenth to score

Absolutley not.  remember its a team game.  Possibly only Hakeem had the supporting cast.  Part of Kareems success was that the Bruins forced most teams to either double him in the post and leave the other UCLA shooters open to penetrate or bomb away.  Also, Kareems turn around jumper at 10 was almost as leathal as his skyhook.  None of those other centers had the kind of talent around them to just go one on one with Kareem.

no....the great thing about alcindor was that while he played at ucla dunking was not allowed he was just that skilled a player and lets face it in college that was how most of those others guys scored even olajawon in college he was very raw and did not have that dream shake back then..........mcadoo what have faired the best because he had a great jumpshot even back then but big lew was unstopable........funny how dunking was allowed right after he left ucla........worked out well for walton.
