sure, he's almost 50 years old but I would still trust him to bring the ball down the floor... would you?

in other words, could he back up Derek Fisher (for example) if he wanted to play for one more year?

if you are a hater, don't bother answering the question!

  1. Honestly, no way could Magic still play. I got mad respect for the guy. Bill Russell has a better chance of playing the league today, even at age 75.

  2. Even though Magic is my fav of ALL TIME, I would say no, hes out of shape and too slow now.  As much as that hurts to say, its true.

  3. honestly yeah it would be awesome, but wont happen.

  4. Back in the old days Magic was very skinny and in shape but now he tripled his size and he looks really heavy i dont think he could last 10 min in the game but he's one of my favorite guards of all time.

  5. Last time when Magic played for Lakers, he was assigned as PF (still remmeber how he faked and toyed Joe Smith with a dribble to an easy layup).

If he comes back and play for one more season, I suggest to play Magic as a backup C. At this age Magic can never outrun anybody on the floor (and at least he can match Dikumbe Mutombo's footspeed), but he has the basketball IQ to embarass opposing big men.

Imagine when Magic grabs an offensive board, should you foul him? If yes, then you are donating two points to Lakers.

Imagine when Magic moves to 3-point line and draws opposing big men to come out, other Lakers are enjoying a good time penetrating to the basket.

And yes, he can pass the ball as will - and he may offer more than Luke Walton.

But the bottomline is, please do not expect him to play PG.

  6. i am!! a LAKER HATER! AND WILL ANSWER THIS DUMB QUESTION! NO! NO! NO!! MAGIC IS TOO OLD!! oh!! gonna report me now, a*****e coward? you laker punks are all creeps and they will not beat boston next year, either, a*****e!!  wahhh! i am going to report this!! because i am a crybaby!! wahhh!

  7. He still looks in pretty good shape. Maybe as a reserve, behind Farmar. It would never happen though.

  8. Honestly, no. His style of play is outdated and he wouldn't be able to keep up with the leagues top pointguards, he's simply too old.

  9. magic johnson would score 50ppg because no one would want to stick him. IF you u know what i mean

  10. I'm not a hater, but Magic is overweight for the NBA now.  NOt to mention, have you seen him walk?  Let's just say his NBA days are long over, but not forgotten.

  11. I dont kno if his "Lifetime" contract is still in effect but he can be called up a anytime if the lakers wanted him to return.

  12. Nah he could not. Lets be realistic. This isnt the WNBA. I love Magic, he is the greatest point guard ever, but these quick guards would abuse him cause he still has to play Defense

  13. h**l no!!If he could so could i!!lol
