Question:

Could My Contacts Be Old? Despite the package they came in saying they have not yet expired?

Everytime I put in my contacts now I end up having to take them out a few hours later because my eyes start to become blurry with them in. I never had this problem before with my other contacts, this is a new box of contacts that I opened up and the expiration date isn't until 2009' so I know they are not old contacts. But is it possible that the manufactuer messed up along the way? They are the bosch and lomb brand.

What other reasons could be causing this blurryiness to be happening? I also find myself wearing my sunglasses more often too because the light (while wearing the contacts) makes my eyes more blurry.

  1. Yes, it's possible to have a manufacturer's defect.  I would call your eye doctor and tell him/her your problem.  He/she should be able to get to the bottom of the situation for you.
