I'm a Democrat, but I LOVED Ron Paul! He was sandbagged by Fox, and left out of debates even though he WAY more votes then Gulianni. He had amazing grass roots support, like Obama does, and he energized youth. Granted he wouldn't have been loved by the christian right, but he would have picked up many of the moderate democrats. Could he have won against Obama in the fall?

I'm not trying to live in the past, but I was watching some highlights on him on Cspan, and it reminded me how much I liked him.

  1. Ron Paul is the type of politician this country really needs.  Both parties are fiscally irresponsible.  I'll start supporting the GOP when they get back to what's important, stopping wasteful spending.  Until then, I'll back the party that projects a foreign policy that is not apocalyptic.

  2. No, he was not far to the right enough to win!

  3. I THINK RON PAUL WOULD MAKE A BETTER PRESIDENT THAN JOHN MCCAIN

    OBAMA/BIDEN 2008

  4. He wasn't left out of the debates.  In fact, in the first republican debate, he said that we shouldn't fight our enemies because they don't want us to.

England didn't want us to fight them.  The confederates didn't want us to fight them  Germany and Japan didn't want us to fight them.  I say it's a good thing we did.

  5. I like Ron Paul too, and I think he could have enlisted a lot of younger voters in this election.I know a lot of older people in the South are straight ticket voters, so he could have garnered their votes as well.

I think he would have had a good chance against Obama, as both are fairly liberal. The Republicans would not have been pleased though.
