There are tens of thousands of soldiers being shot at right now. Am I the only one who would like to hear McCain talk about THEIR war??

  1. You know, that's actually a very good question. One would think that McSame would actually have a great deal to offer in the whole diologue about Iraq. I remember that I was genuinely PROUD of the old guy when he stood up for what was right when he defied bush on the torture issue. But then, of course, inevitably, predictably -- he CAVED. On the ONE issue where he carried some weight.

McSame has, with Iraq, the opportunity to SHOW us some of that wisdom we keep hearing the Right say he is going to bring to the Presidency.

    Well??

Well, let's SEE it! Who better to impart foreign policy decisions based on mistakes and experience--  than someone who has seen combat and suffered at the hands of the enemy? Someone who can say with clarity how ineffectual WAR actually is? That has supposedly been the rationale of the Right in pushing his "war experience."

But what we hear from John McCain is crickets chirping. Silence. Nothing to offer on that front whatsoever.

And I will repeat what so many have said before me - being tortured does not in any way qualify someone for the Presidency. That's about the silliest thing EVER. What, are we going to make somebody President because we feel GUILTY that they were tortured?

  2. Well I know McCain graduated 894th of 899 at Annapolis, so I'm sure he was asleep during the miltary history class where they explained there is no such thing as "winning" an occupation.

  3. Yes.

At this point, explaining McCain's war record is like Obama announcing he is black.

We know the people. We need to talk about the issues and the solutions.

  4. I think people probably have tried to explain it to him, but his so senile he's not able to grasp what they're saying.

Back in the 70 there was this sitcom called Soap.  It was about the Tate family.  And Grandpa Tate spent every single minute of everyday fighting "the War".  Causing all kind of upheaval in the Tate household.  McCain reminds me of him.
