  1. I superior boxer will beat a taller but slower slugger. Ali will stop Wlad like Larry Holmes stopped Gerry Cooney.

  2. Footwork wins, and Ali has the advantage.

  3. Thumbs up to "scratchpole" great response.....how long is a piece of string.  I'm still laughing, but seriously it can be answered.  How accurately is an argument that will vary with opinion, but the answer is no, Klitschko wouldn't hold his own with Ali, and he would be thoroughly out classed.  Kllitschko would have trouble beating guys like Henry Cooper, Kenny Norton or Ernie Shavers let alone taking on one of boxing's very best.  Anything is possible in boxing, and if a heavyweight lands flush on the jaw of another, anyone can  be KOed, but if guys like Liston, Forman, Frazier and Shavers couldn't KO Ali odds are against Klitschko doing it.  Wladimir would have no realistic chance of out boxing Ali, and almost no real chance of KOing Ali.   I think Ali would beat Klitschko with realitive ease.

  4. This man should not be mentioned in the same breathe as Ali.  He was the greatest fighter of all time,he would find a way to win.  Ali in his prime was the perhaps the most dangerous fighter alive.  His hand and foot speed was superior for a big man.  This is what really set him apart from the other Heavyweights, too much speed.

  5. Absolutely impossible to answer. How long is a piece of string?

  6. No way! Ali was way too fast with the footwork and hands. Klitschko is flat footed and too slow

  7. Klitschko does have good skills, particularly for a heavyweight but his two weaknesses are stamina and chin.  Although Ali was by no means a big puncher, he would wear down Wlad and stop him around the eighth round.  Klit would have a puncher's chance but Ali was tough as nails and I don't think Wlad would even win a single round.

  8. Probably not. Klitschko has a good jab, but not as good as Ali's. And although Wlad is the bigger by about 30 Ibs, Ali was so much quicker than Wlad (with both hand and footspeed), and probably had a better chin. Ali would outbox Wlad for 15 rounds, making him look silly.

  9. W. Klitschko is a "stick out the left and I dare you to come around it" type fighter, very simplistic, no kind of foot work, a very good fit for Ali.  Ali would KO him in like 7.

  10. In my opinion no. Ali had quicker hands and feet. Ali in his  prime would have destroyed W. Klitschko with his speed and most likely ended the fight with an early KO in rounds 5 or 6.
